'Hide and Seek' Trailer Analysis

The trailer begins with the 20th Century Fox logo which suggests to the audience that this film is going to be a good quality film like the rest of Fox’s films. The logo then fades in to an establishing shot of a city and then goes into a shot of a bridge; this is so that the viewers have an idea of where they are at this point. Both diegetic and non diegetic sound are used in this trailer; the non diegetic music in this trailer is used to help the trailer flow and connect, and the diegetic sound such as people talking is to help the audience understand the storyline. Throughout the trailer, there is a variety of camera shots and angles to portray different things such as the low angle when the father is talking to the girl; this could perhaps suggest he is a dominant character in this however we, as an audience, do not know how.
